Thus, weekly parenting meetings empower the parents of children in the program to build a more stable and supportive atmosphere at home. Parents are taught effective methods of child-raising and how to deal with challenging situations at home. Special attention is given to opening healthy channels of communication between parents and children.
Giving each child a strong academic foundation – and a major head start in life – is a major component of TikvaHope’s after-school program for Israel’s children-at-risk.
Enrichment activities enable children to excel beyond academics and develop their potential in many different areas. Once a week, all children participate in activities including music, drama, sports and martial arts.
